Você já ouviu falar em Quimbanda e sentiu um certo desconforto? Infelizmente, a falta de conhecimento leva muitos a associar os Exus (ou catiços) a figuras negativas, como o “Diabo do cristianismo”. Quimbanda: Mitos, Verdades e Minha Conexão Ancestral com o Povo Bantu

A Quimbanda é frequentemente alvo de mal-entendidos. Eu destaco que a associação negativa, muitas vezes por meio de cantigas e pontos cantados que mencionam nomes como “Lucifer” ou “Belzebu”, serve mais para amedrontar do que para informar. A verdade é que a Quimbanda é uma prática rica, que se conecta profundamente com a cultura do povo Bantu, utilizando vastos materiais da natureza em nossos rituais de trabalho.

Um dos pontos centrais da confusão é o entendimento de Exu. Enquanto em outras tradições, como o Candomblé (panteão Yorubá), Esu Orixá é visto como um administrador divino, na Quimbanda, o Catiço Exu é reverenciado como o grande negociador e executor de trabalhos espirituais. O Ritual de Invocação e o Desenvolvimento do Médium na Quimbanda

A invocação na Quimbanda tem como objetivo a evolução e elevação dos meus médiuns ou “discípulos”. Este ritual, que envolve limpezas, defumações, oferendas e o uso de folhas sagradas, busca o verdadeiro comprometimento do indivíduo com seu Catiço e com seu próprio “Zambi” ou “Exu interior” (o Deus interior conectado ao Deus do universo).

Eu enfatizo que o desenvolvimento na Quimbanda não é algo simples. Ele é um processo gradual de graduação espiritual, que inclui lavagem, iniciação e pactuação. O médium, ao longo desse desenvolvimento, constrói seu “campo de trabalho” e adquire a firmeza necessária. A Quimbanda é formada por diversos pontos de força e energia, e as entidades não são iguais; cada Catiço tem seus próprios costumes, formas de ver e de trabalhar, exigindo respeito e consciência do médium para não atrapalhar seu desenvolvimento pessoal e espiritual.

O Assentamento: O Coração da Força e da Evolução na Quimbanda

O assentamento é um elemento vital na Quimbanda, uma “firmeza” onde a energia do Catiço é concentrada e trabalhada. Preparado por mim, o Tata (o sacerdote), o assentamento pode conter uma vasta gama de elementos: ouro, prata, cobre, folhas e águas sagradas, terras de diversos locais, e até animais de poder (frango, cabrito, bode, porco, etc.). Geralmente localizado em um espaço separado e restrito (como um quintal trancado), é ali que a energia do Catiço é nutrida através de fumo, velas e oferendas, permitindo a evolução da divindade e a troca de conhecimento com o médium.

Conclusão: O Caminho da Quimbanda é de Evolução e Conhecimento

A Quimbanda, como eu explico, não é um caminho para ser trilhado de forma leviana. Ela exige um processo evolutivo, com rituais, lavagens e pactuações que fortalecem a entidade e o médium. É um culto que convida à seriedade, ao respeito e à busca constante por conhecimento e força.
