O corintiano Raimundo César Faustino foi condenado, nesta quinta-feira, a 21 anos de prisão em julgamento pela morte do palmeirense Gilberto Torres Pereira, em 2014. A morte ocorreu após uma briga em Franco da Rocha (SP). Raimundo, também conhecido como Capá, era vereador em Francisco Morato e membro da organizada Gaviões da Fiel. Ele já estava preso desde a época da morte, no presídio de Franco da Rocha.
A briga que resultou na morte de Gilberto Torres Pereira, então com 30 anos, aconteceu na estação de trem de Franco da Rocha, em 17 de agosto de 2014. Naquele dia, o Palmeiras faria clássico contra o São Paulo – o Corinthians tinha jogado um dia antes. O palmeirense foi agredido com pedaços de madeira e morreu quatro dias depois. Capá foi condenado por homicídio qualificado com motivo fútil.
Outros dois corintianos também foram condenados no mesmo caso: Leonardo Gomes dos Santos recebeu 16 anos de prisão; Gentil Chaves Siani levou 18 anos. As defesas vão recorrer das sentenças.
Em 2013, Capá já tinha se envolvido em outro caso de violência. Ele foi flagrado em uma briga na partida entre Corinthians e Vasco, no estádio Mané Garrincha, em Brasília (DF).
